First ever High end Haul

The only time I ever get High End Products are Christmas and my Birthday

But I have been very good lately and I saw on  Debenhams website a brilliant offer if you purchased the Too Faced Chocolate pallet you received a free Too Faced Primed and Poreless face powder, well as the powder is £20 on its own it is well worth it , So I placed my order online and also received a free mini Too Faced Primed and Poreless Loose powder, so that’s three products for just £35 if purchased on their own it would have been £55

.

First I love the packaging it is really nice

high end 6

The Too faced Chocolate Bar Pallet does REALLY smell of chocolate, it makes you hungry when you open it, I like the tin pallet and the large mirror, I also like the fact you have extra large amounts of the two base and highlight colours, The eye shadows go on smooth and blend wonderfully, I could say it is almost as good as my urban decay pallets, but the Urban decay beat them on pigment and staying power.

High end 3

The Too Faced Primed and Poreless powder has become my favorite powder of all time, it can be used under or over foundation or on its own , It does exactly what it says, I can see a big difference in the pores on mt cheeks, I would really recommend this to anyone.

High end 5

I have not used the loose powder yet, but my daughter uses it every day.

Evernote Camera Roll 20140712 183115

Another Elf Haul

Well ELF have been at it again another 50% off sale, and if you have been reading my blog for awhile you should know by now I can not resist…..

Evernote Camera Roll 20140712 183115

I thought I would try some more of the Elf brushes

White Brushes

The Eye Crease Brush is OK, nothing special, but the Blending Eye Brush was great, until I tried to wash it, I used my Mac Brush Cleanser, both brushes changed dramatically both are now thin and shed like mad. I know they are inexpensive but i though they would survive more than one wash.

Black Brushes

Now these two brushes , the Blush Brush and the Powder Brush are a different story, They are fantastic The Blush brush I have been using for contouring and the powder brush for finishing powder. Both wash well, They are well worth the money and are fast becoming favorites. I would recommend these to anyone.

primer

Next I purchased some more of the Elf eye primer, I love these, I use them as much as my Urban decay primers, and to be honest there is not much difference in them.

make up 2

I also purchased the Blush in Gotta Glow, i have heard that it is a great highlighter, so far so good,

Also I thought I would give the long wearing eye shadows a try, I have not used them much yet, I will do a review on them if asked.

make up 3

and lastly I finally got my hands on the ELF Maximum Coverage concealer in porcelain,

OMG this stuff is wonderful, it covers everything and does not crease, I think I have found my Holy Grail concealer the tiniest amount goes a long way, it has worked far better than any concealer I have tried so far. I also picked up another set of the Nail Varnishes in mysterious, these varnishes are great, and they don’t brake the bank, especially when you have a teenage daughter who is always using your make up and does her nails a different colour every day.

Well I hope you found this helpful

First Impressions New Makeup Revolutions (at Superdrug)

image

Superdrug have a new make up range on their website called Makeup Revolution,

They are very reasonably priced, As superdrug still has a 3 for 2 on makeup , i thought i would give them a try, I purchased the three highlighters in the Range , One of the baked Blushers and one of the blush lacquers and also i picked up my most favorite primer in the world,  The MUA Undress Your Skin primer.

image

Top to bottom – Baked Blusher in All I want , Highlighter in Pink Lights, Peach Lights and Golden Lights.

image

image

image

Wow these highlighters are excellent  , well worth it, the are not chalky, they are Three pounds each, well worth the money, the packaging is strong and feels nice, I would recommend these to anyone they are much better than some of the more expensive  ones.

The baked blusher is smooth and  blends beautifully .

image

OH MY GOD, This stuff is so pigmented , the first swatch i did covered my entire hand in deep blusher, this swatch used a pin top worth, the name if this blush is Desire, I think it will last for ever  it will take a while to get the hang of using it but i think i will love it, at Three pounds it is well worth it.

My first impressions are they are great value for money, with great packaging , the products i tried were great quality and i look forward to checking out the rest of the range.

Hope this helps

May Empties

image

Hi , well it is almost the end of May and my empties pile is quite big, so I thought I would go ahead and do a post now.

image

I think these Batiste Dry Shampoo cans are in almost everyone’s empties posts, It is the best dry shampoo I have ever used, (and i Have tried quite a few.) the only thing I do not like is the price so I try and stock up when they are on offer at Superdrug.

image

Next I have the MUA Pro-Base Fixing Mist, This is a good product at a good price it works as well as some of the more expensive brands,  will be repurchasing . Next I have finally used up my Garnier Soothing 2 in 1 Make Up Remover, It states it removes even waterproof make up , but i am not impressed, i will not be repurchasing and a Tesco All-In-One contact lens solution, I have tried loads of contact lens solutions, from all price brackets, and oddly enough this cheap one works the best! I have already repurchased this solution.

image

I have also used up the Rimmel Fix & perfect primer, I had heard such great things about this primer but I will not be repurchasing.  Next I have the L’Oreal Revitalift cream, this is a brilliant day cream , it does exactly what is says, I have purchased other items from this line, and will continue to do so. Next some samples, Benefit Total Moisture and It,s Potent, Both were very good, but I will not repurchase due to the price , I think you can find products just as good at a fraction of the price. lastly to Clarins samples, toning lotion and extra-Firming day cream again both quite nice, but not worth the price.

I hope you found this helpful.

PS. Please comment and make my day :)

Big Haul

image

Hey everyone how are you all doing this bank holiday weekend?

So my first part of the haul is the items pictured above , Batiste Dry shampoo,  400ml, I purchased three of these but only two are pictured above as my teenage daughter ran off with one as soon as I got home, these are currently in Superdrug on offer 50% off also there is a 3 for 2 offer on all make up in Superdrug  at the moment so I got two of the MUA Concealers in light and a NYC Sunny Bronzer, and i found three bargains in the Poundstore I got 2 of the Maybelline Baby Lips and a Rimmel Vinyl Max Lip Gloss in 101 Legend, and finally a Sally Hanson Complete Salon Manicure nail varnish, it looks wonderful, i have not tried it yet.

image

image

I always have a look at the cosmetics and such in Tesco to cheer myself up when I am doing the weekly shop, I came across this primer,  Olay anti-wrinkle 2 in 1 primer, firm and lift, Hydration and primer, and lets face it, i can use all the help i can get, I am always on the lookout for the perfect primer and so far this is doing exactly what it says. It was an absolute bargain, was £14.99 on offer at £4.99 :)imageimage

I also found Olay anti wrinkle day cream on offer at £2 and two lots of my favorite hair dye, they also magically made their way in to my basket.

image

I found this gem at the original Factory shop, on offer at £5, after my recent success with the anti ageing serum , i thought i would give it a try.

image

image

image

I also though i would give these two bronzers a try the one on the left is by Sunkissed, and the one on the right is by Body Collection, these are terrible, so if you see them in store just walk on by…..

imageimage

I purchased these to Maybelline Quads  in The Factory Shop and they were only £2 each, I quite like them for something different.

Sorry it is not a good photo these are swatches of the top quad.

imageimage

image

And lastly my favorite bargains of the week I found all of these in the pound Shop, Two Rimmel Quads and Two Rimmel Scandal Eyes Liquid Eyeshadow in 006 Rich Russet and 002 Slate Grey. I have tested these already and all I can say is WOW, these are fab, Crease proof and they last all day.

Hope you found this interesting

Weekly Favs & Fails

image

I thought i would give this another try, It is the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation 16hr with SPF20  I used to love this foundation but since trying others I have realized it is not that good, the staying power is around 4hrs  and I have other foundations with better coverage. I think I will pass this on to my daughter and see if she wants it.

I would class this as a Blah!

image

Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder with natural minerals in 021 transparent. I had high hopes for this powder, It has developed a funny sheen in the middle, after only a few uses, I always clean my makeup brushes , so I know that is not the cause,  it was an OK powder at first but now I feel uncomfortable using it. If anyone has any ideas on what it is , please let me know

I would give this a Blah!

image

For concealer this week I have been using my Sleek colour correct pallet in 02 fair, It has a colour corrector , normal concealer and a finishing powder. This is one of the best concealers I have come across.

I would give this an excellent.

image

For blush this week I have been using  Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush in Desert Rose, this blush is so pigmented, you only need a tiny amount, it is absolutely  beautiful on and lasts all day.

I would give this an excellent!

image

The bronzer I have been using this week is not really a bronzer, it is the Revlon Colourstay powder in very deep, this works perfectly as a matt bronzer.

I would give this a Good

image

On my eyes this week I have been using a wonderful eye crayon I found at F&F in the colour gold coast. it is long wearing and does not crease. Also I have been using my favorite eyeliner Urban Decay 24/7 in Perversion, I have never found a better eyeliner, it goes on super smooth and lasts until you take it off.

I would give both of these an Excellent

On my lips I have been using Max Factor Colour Elixer Pen Stick in Hot Chocolate 50, This is a gorgeous colour and goes on wonderfully , the only problem is it lasts about an 1 hr before you have to reapply .

I would give this an Blah!

For lip-gloss I have been using an old favorite Rimmel Stay Glossy in 740 Everlasting Crush, I love this gloss it is not sticky feels wonderful on and lasts a good while.

I would give this an excellent.

image

I have been trying a new mascara this week the L’Oreal Mega Volume Miss Manga in Black, I am still not sure about it yet, It does lengthen my lashes, but does not create lots of volume, I will give it another week or so before making a final conclusion.

image

image

And lastly for eye shadow i have been using my Urban decay Smoked Pallet, Good I absolutely adore this pallet, It comes with an instruction book with step by step guides  for all different looks, the pigmentation and colours are unbelievable.  The staying power of these shadows is also unbelievable, I our recommend this pallet to anyone.

I would give this an excellent.

Hope you found this interesting, Please leave me a comment, It would make me so happy.

Saturday Mini Haul

image

So I went into today today to just buy a primer as I was running out, and one thing lead to another and I ended up with all of these bargains.

I got this L’oreal Skin Perfection Micellar water, I have been on the look out for a new make up remover and this one claims quite a few things, it swiftly dissolves make up and captures pore clogging impurities in just one gentle action, in other words  it removes make up purifies unclogs tones and smooths, I hope it delivers that! I will use it for a few weeks and them let you know. This was on sale in Superdrug 50% off.

image

Next I though I would give the new Tresemme Instant refresh Dry Shampoo a go, i love my Batiste Dry Shampoo, but wanted to mix it up and give something else a try, this was 50% off at Superdrug £2.35 for 200ml

image

I have been looking at this for a long time but did not want to pay £19.99, I went in our local Factory Shop and it was there on offer at £7 , Bargain !!!! Again I will use this for a while and give you my verdict. It states it helps with deep wrinkles, fine lines, loss of firmness, loss of tone, lack of plumpness, lack of suppleness, dull complexion, uneven skin tone, uneven skin texture and dryness, I don’t expect it to make me look 20 again , but if it can do half of what it says I will be one happy 42 yr old lol

image

Another bargain this is the Revlon  Baby Stick for Lips & Cheeks. it is a lovely colour this was in the £1 store and there was loads of other colours.

image

This is the item I went into town for ! I needed a new primer so after checking some reviews and U-Tube I thought I would give this one a go. All the Maybelline was on Buy One get One half price at superdrug so I picked up a back up of my favorite Lipstick, Super Stay 14hr Lipstick in Lasting Chestnut 720.  So another bargain!

image

image

Also in the £1 Store I found this Sally Hansen Colour Quick Fast Dry Nail Colour Pen. Just click to dispense colour brush on and Go!  It has Panthenol and anti-oxident vitamins A,C & E plus UV protector.

image

image

Another find at the £1 store, this Revlon Nail art pen, They had others with bright colours but I loved both the base colour and the golden colour pen .

image

And lastly another two items for my little nieces make up collection, this time a Micky Mouse cute Lip Gloss and some little stick on false nails.

Love

Anita x
